currently on the server, LOTS of players need wood, its a resource that we require A LOT of
So I was thinking of making a tree farm, that trusted players can AFK at and get very cheap wood (like 100$ a stack)
the one thousand dollar question: can i do this, if yes, how lag friendly does it need to be
Before someone asks, I will choose the trusted players (or players that help me build it), as requesting doesn't tell me if you are trust worthy or not
I want this project to help the server, also since many people (including me) don't replant there saplings upon cutting them (i now replant them seniors)
IF ANYONE IS AGAINST THIS PROJECT, PLEASE CHECK OF THE CORRECT SECTION OF THE POLL
I also want to say, log buyers, i recommend that when the farm is public, to not request logs of wood for 1k a stack, as you will be loosing money
The log type depends of what kind of farm fits in the servers lag prevention requirements
If you would like to help, please PRIVATE message me on the forums (not discords, i don't check it enough) and you must be a little more advanced in the game: have a ton of redstone stuff
Note: I may need a creeper farm, to make the farm almost automatic (but that also depends on the lag prevention)

Just make a mumbo-jumbo tree farm, that way you can just continuously plant saplings and very quickly a large area of logs will be filled in.
There is no need to overcomplicate things. You can give public build trust to the log collection area and the block where saplings are planted. That way you need not worry about replanting or griefing. A creeper/wither system is highly unnecessary and difficult to make correctly.
If you're super paranoid, I recommend only letting a select few players have build trust and set up a shop to sell the extra wood. I think somewhere between 100 and 250 rhines per stack of logs is fair.
This sounds like a good idea, so you should act quickly before I beat you to it!

The mumbo tree farm isn't actually faster than just planting big spruces and mining them. Mumbo's also uses tons of bonemeal, around one stack per 16 trees..

That and mumbo's tree farm doesn't seem to work on the server due to redstone delays.

i was thinking of making ilmango server friendly tree farm, it is efficient and lag friendly, the down side is that i need a butt ton of resources, and with my new playing schedule, i don't think i can do it alone The TNT in the farm is not needed, i have modified it so that i can toggle the way i want the wood to be destroyed
Tiberaus, I just wanted to make a tree farm so that the server wood gets a little higher, i didn't want to make it for a race. What would be greatly appreciated is that you help me, since you and I trust each other (hopefully, or you must of been really tired when i enchanted your elytra) to make the wood farm.
I also wanted to say that the wood farm would be in a random region AWAY from any bigger region (AKA Apollo).
The reason that i don't use mumbo's design that it is a little out of date, unless he made a new one
Also, i will need someone (preferably a senior) to locate a region where a skelly farm is near, to keep the bones coming in, i kinda don't like taking CENSORED's stach
Thanks

Every last one of ilmango's tree farms will break on the server. Even the simple mini tree farm breaks on the server.

Do you mean the flying machine tree farm, Wixler? I was thinking of that one, but i find it too resource heavy, and its not afk i was also thinking of this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QmozCqoj4o Maybe, or maybe not with the TNT But since they break apparently, I am still looking for a efficient one I think, with the 2 second research that i've done, i should make mumbo's tree farm. Only because its a little on the simpler side and its not that costly. I don't mind cutting down all the logs, its just a little time consuming Hayan, do you have a better Idea of what farm i should make?

Mumbo has even done a test himself. His tree farm is slower than growing big spruce trees. Just do that!

I know that, Ijust want something that i can afk at then do the log chopping. I don't really care if it takes one more minute (or something like that) to get 5 stacks of wood Think of it. i normally play one to two hour (there are exemptions) and if i spend 30 minutes:
4min and 25 secs = 5 stacks of wood 30 min=around 35 stacks of wood
That is not too bad for 30 minutes. I think i will test out mumbo's design. see if it breaks, then fix it if it does
Also, in the calculations mumbo did, he did not have haste 2, which speeds things up more than mining a spruce tree, Unless i'm blind

You also know you can make 8x8 spruce trees?
-Make an 8x8 area of dirt. -Get 64 spruce saplings. -Get 2 stacks of bonemeal. -Plant a 2x2 spruce tree in the corner. -Bonemeal it. -Plant one next to it. -Repeat this until you have an 8x8 spruce tree.
That's 20 minutes for 28 stacks.
