On the topic of the signs in market, I propose that barriers are put up as fillers in the sign, as many a time people have lost their stuff to it.

I caught wind of this. Do players not get damaged when crashing into barrier blocks? Problem occurs when the items get stuck in the letters which are almost impossible to get back without another elytra or another player. Another idea would be to change the design a bit and make them like an arch. Then a ladder can be attached to the side but not sure if this will be implemented. |

TO summarize, even though they will still take the kinetic energy damage, their items will at least fall to the ground so they can pick them up.

Though there is still a chance that items end up on top of the barrier blocks(items sometimes drop very randomly), I have one more suggestion. Making a sub claim for the signs and giving access trust to all so people can e pearl on top of them. Just a suggestion, idk how practical it will be.

Ehhh at that point the signs may as well get replaced with banners or get demolished altogether. Maybe we can find a more elegant solution.

Ok, all 8 sides of the signs have been blocked. I like the tp sign idea. I'll mention it to Hayan and see if she can implement that. As for descending the signs at that point, that'll be up to players to solve (i.e., rockets + elytra).

You can also have a ladder at one side of the sign. If you place it on barrier blocks and then facing away from the sign, the ladder should become invisible from on side as ladders do not have a back texture I believe.
