+ how is there fall damage? does the portal count as a block? What's probably happening (I haven't seen this myself) is that players pick up fall damage during the drop, and if their lag is bad are glitching through the water above the portal. I've made some changes that should reduce the problem. |

I think that when it's lagging, you don't go through the portal to the end, but fall through the portal on the ground below. I think there are slime blocks there. That reduces it. The water in the end reduces damage. I tested this in creative and when a player goes through the end portal with water on the other side, they don't take damage. Half a heart if it wasn't there. When there are slime blocks below the portal in the overworld, you never take damage. Except when it's lagging. I build a lag machine in my world, and I hit 37 fps (I normally have about 150 on the server). When I then go through the portal with water on the other side, no damage again. Slime blocks and lag don't really work together. When I go through the portal with lag, I fall on the slime blocks, but they don't bounce me. The game thinks you go through the portal, but you don't go through immediately. You take damage from the falling on the slime blocks, but you do end up in the end. Water on the other side is the best solution. On the server, I'll be happy to test where the best place to place water is.

I think that you should only go in the end when there is less then 10 players, and not with a very old laptop (i mean old like 10 years+)
Most people go to the eb, so if you are going, do /me is at EB to avoid anyone going in the end for that (and /me turns the post magenta)
i alway take off all my gear and stuff and put it in a enderchest to avoid death, and enderchests are everywhere on the main island of the end, and the eb have a shulker box station to, as a bonus

I'd have to agree. ^^ And either way, take your gear off. Get a shulker box, put it all in there, THEN go to the end. Then you can get it all back.
