So as the title says I got banned, I was just roaming round random unclaimed regions I assumed to be abandoned a couple weeks ago and saw some nether quartz. I left it there and went on my merry way. I tried to go mining for it shortly after but found the nether absolutely out of quartz where I arrived in the portal my daughter made. I had been buying it but it's very expensive and wanted to be able to make it myself like a good hermit. Now last night I decided to have a look for a less rainy region to go with Roanoke where it rains a lot. I came across that same region again and out of much stupidity and frustration I took the quartz. I was feeling bad and was coming on today to return it (easy to say now right, but never the less, it's true) and found myself banned. Fair play, was bad and got caught. No complaints here. Just wanted to say that it's a great server and I feel bad for messing up. Just an idea, maybe try and reset the nether every now and then so newer players have a chance to get some quartz. Just try to resist the urge next time, being a thief doesn't get you very far as you have found out.
If you need quartz but cannot find any, you can always try looking in the shops at Market to see if anyone is selling some or you could try asking other players nicely for some. Just don't start begging and harrassing players for quartz if they say no to giving you any.

Definitely won't do it again. Anyway once my claim runs out, I presume it's pretty quick after a banning everyone should feel free to take what they need. There's a lot of pretty good enchanting books in the chests.
Just to be clear though I honestly didn't think I was stealing it and being a thief, I genuinely thought the area was abandoned as it looked like a lot the quartz from the actual build had already been taken when I got there and seemed to be in a worse state of repair between my two visits.
Anyway time to find somewhere to start again. Take care everyone.

I didn't even see the ban appeal thread, although I probably wouldn't have appealed due to, not agreeing with the decision as such but definitely understanding it. Maybe I'll give it a go. Wish me luck

Yeah, no warning just couldn't log on again. Just said under reason; putting the hammer down, or something like that. It was against the rules though so I'm not complaining.

"The ban hammer has spoken!" Is the default message that appears if you get banned. Los is on vacation. Please do not assume who did what.
