Hello! So today while getting more dogs for my dog royal army i saw i couldnt name more than a certain number. I understood there is a limit but i want to ask why. I cant stand having a limit for such a thing because it disables me from having the wolf and cat army i wanted to have. If i have the dogs unnamed players can damage them which i dont want. Could you please remove that limit? I really want to do some cool projects with named dogs but this limit disables me them. I understand for the claim limit it is to not have lots of claims everywhere but the animal one? Named animals cause lag? Or do they make players have animals everywhere? I cant find an explanation to this and i would like to hear why there is such a limitation.

I personally have no idea, but I think it is so you won't go overkill and get 1000 wolves at once and crash the whole server. I would also like to get a reason from seniors though.

I think your opinion is right rubest but even if i have many animals they can warn me to not have them in the same chunk and such things.

Well, I had my animals named and you just killed them.. So naming isn't necessary, new update? Either way I don't know why, but it adds an extra line of code 😛

I killed them by accident and you knpw that lol. I need the names for my wolf army so as to know the roles each wolf has.

Mobcap! If you name tons of zombies they wouldn't despawn, which results in taking up the mobcap. The EB wouldn't be working, just like other mob farms.

There are separate caps for different types of mob, so lots of pets won't affect hostile mob spawning.
But more pets will affect server performance. There is a limit because there are a lot of players on the server and we can easily have over 1000 pets and farm animals in loaded chunks.
