BlockHermit Signshop Support
As there are a lot of shops in the Market region, some with the correct use of signshop and some not, I have decided to create this thread to help out those players that are struggling to get started with the server plugin.
Signshop is a plugin that allows players to use a server currency to buy, sell or trade items as well as much more! It can be very helpful when a player needs a few more bits for a build or to craft an item; they can buy it from a player's shop or a server shop if it sells the needed item.
How to use the plugin
To get started with signshop, you have to put a sign down and put the type of signshop you want to create on the first line of the sign. After that, with most types of the signshop, you can put whatever you want on the second and third lines of the sign. Finally, you place the price on the fourth line of the sign before pressing 'done' at the bottom of the screen.
Before linking a chest to a signshop sign, make sure to place the correct number of the item you want to sell or buy in the chest.
To link a chest to a signshop sign, you must use redstone dust. In order to link it, you must first left click on the chest you want the sign to collect the items from. After that, right click on the sign to complete the linking process and link both the sign and chest together.
Once linked, the part of the sign that shows you what type of signshop it is will turn blue as long as the linked chest has stock of the item being sold or bought. It will turn red the moment there is no longer any stock left in the linked chest, hinting you to restock the chest.
Once you have done all of the above, you have successfully setup a signshop sign!
Default signshop format
Line 1 - Type of signshop.
Line 2 & 3 - Any text of your choosing.
Line 4 - Price of the item.
Types of signs
[Buy] - Sell an item of your choosing for a price of your choosing.
[Sell] - Buy an item of your choosing in return for a cash payment to the selling player.
[Slot] - Exchanges a player's cash for a randomly selected item from a chest.
[Bank] - Share profits with your bank account - remaining profit goes to the shop owner. (list a bank account on the 2nd line and share percentage on the 4th line)
[Share] - Allows you to share profits with other players. (place names on the 2nd and/or 3rd lines)
[Toggle] - Exchanges a player's cash for toggling a lever on/off.
[Mailbox] - Allows you to receive mail in the form of items a player is holding.
[Jukebox] - Exchanges a player's cash to listen to music discs.
[Deviceon] - Exchanges a player's cash for turning on a lever.
[Deviceoff] - Exchanges a player's cash for turning off a lever.
[Donatehand] - Allow people to donate items from their hand to you.
