I've had an idea for a plugin. A party plugin! You've probably seen it on minigame servers, and it would be very useful on blockhermit. The plugin (look one up that fits the server) lets you chat in a sperate chat only you and the invite members can see. Normal chat won't be spammed with voicechat messages and you can DM multiple people. I know discord exists, but this would be much easier.

With talking to the points of the pros and cons, I think overall they try and use as few plugins as possible. So when thinking of plugin ideas, think will it improve system game play? Or improve something greatly, over how it exists now?
I don't think having a separate chat channel for groups will be of great benefit. But I am often wrong, often more than I'd like to admit.
Anyway, because another plugin will invariably have to be fairly well vetted to ensure they are no conflicts. and given how much time is spent making the basic stuff work it is not something done lightly.
That's my 2 cents of course.

Discord is a useful tool, however having the ability to /tell multiple people at once would be great tool for users who choose not to use voice chat.
