The good old days

I have created this thread to tell people a story of when you first joined BlockHermit a year+ ago.
If you have been on this server before 1.10, feel free to write down a story of you growing up on BlockHermit!! (Seniors, I would really like it if you participated in this thread)
Please note: if you don't like stories of the kind, i recommend you forget about this thread. But you might learn some interesting things

(February 16ish, 2016)I was on my second month of in my trip in mexico and stumbled upon this server (from searching servers related to hermit craft)
It was a nice server, not to many people, many unclaim regions, lots to do.
I remember first starting to find a place to stay. My first place was with this player that lived in the wilderness. I was really into prismarine, so i made a base around the stuff, but aquarium and blofeld did not keep up with the demand... So i moved to Mirfield, got banned the next day form the region, then got stuck in ravine. I was there for many months, as no one ever accepted me to there region. I hade my friend join the server and made a mine (it is still there, if you look carefully). Then once my friend got bored of minecraft, I got invited to arus by Api3. If i recall correctly, this is when 1.9 got released. I built a home(still there) and built two guardians to represent arus's little secret(still there). One day, the end was available to us and we killed the dragon and tried to get and elytra. I think captain_swaggins got the first one(i'm still jealous). I lived in arus for a LONG time, i think almost 5-8 months. When I got the money, I got myself a elytra. That was when newtown had stalls. I (tried to) help with community projects, like blaze farm with Veeesix (before he became senior) and a couple regions. Then I kinda wanted to start my own region, which i did. I built a ocean monument from purpur, made these things that you guys call lollipops. And here I am now, a kinda lonely rich hermit making a base in the middle of nowhere.
Here are also some fun facts about the good (and not so good) old days
-In 1.8, blaze farm was split in two parts, the first, in the nether, was where the blaze spawned, and in the overworld was where the anvils and enchanting tables where, ya, not the best design
-the nether got reset once, it was a hard day trying to get everything back into the overworld
-the border of the world was at 4700, unlike now, which is 5500
-we never got access to the end until 4 months after 1.9's release
-elytras price started at 35k, then jumped to 70-90k, then depressed to about 50-60k

alot of my best friends there either quit, semi-quit or got banned. I was really sad and semi-quit myself.
