I was wondering how PvP works and when are you protected and not protected, since i am fairly new to the server, I wanna know when are you protected and not protected. Please answer.

When protected: You must be in a players claim. You cant be hit and you cant hit anyone else. You also will be protected from pvp when you die, preventing players from killing you on your way to get your items. This protection only wears off when an item gets added to your inventory from either picking it up or getting it from a chest.
When not protected: I'm pretty sure if your in an admin claim your not protected, so areas like spawn, newtown, witchfarm, arena, etc. You also aren't protected from pvp when your not in any claim at all.

Unclaimed areas and Admin claims are not PVP protected, just player claims. PVP is however disabled in the Resource world, where there are no claims.

also useful information. Whenever you're in a pvp-enabled place (as mentioned above; unclaimed areas and adminclaims) and someone punches you, or, you punch someone else, you will be set in pvp-mode. During this time, you can't pick up any items until either you die, or the pvp timer runs out. This pvp timer: i believe it starts from the last punch goven or recieved. but i might be wrong in the minutes. Unwanted pvp is NOT allowed on the server, you should always have someone's permission. If you accidentally do end up hitting someone, quickly apologise for it. Some players might be a bit too defensive and take that as a deliberate attack where they end up trying to kill you. If this happens, try to get to safety first and then explain what happened on your end and apologise. If someone else accidentally hits you, just ask why, and leave them alone, unless it's a bad apple who just likes to kill players for fun. We don't want those people on the server, so if that happens, take a screenshot and make a report with the playername, time, coords etc so we can take action.
