Craftinator

Heya everybody (I know I've made many posts today but there was a lapse in world load which I took advantage of)

Nebben2 here and since this is the only major tight knit minecraft community I'm part of, I'll ask this here(sorry if I'm breaking a rule or something)

I am quite into coding and minecraft and am thinking about making a server plugin. As the name of this thread suggests it's to do with crafting automatically, more specifically using hoppers.

I was thinking something along the lines of like a sidedness type thing with the hopper input and an output on the bottom.

Problems I could think of were:

1) I would have to create a virtual crafting window and reload all the crafting recipes into it which might cause lag on servers running it and take up monumentus amounts of RAM

2) Making too big a change to the game for anyone to actually want to use it in a server

3) Getting in trouble with this server for posting this here(again I'm really sorry if this is an issue, just delete it if so)

So any advice is greatly appreciated and if I do make it blockhermit can get pre-access to it for helping out.
