FAQ: Why is the discord server 'unofficial'?

This seems to be a very common question. That since Hayan is in that discord and so are all the other seniors, that it's basically official.
It is unofficial because Hayan does not own it. Hayan does not make the rules on it. It is not Hayan's discord server.
This means that you can be banned from the server and be on discord or be banned on discord and be on the server. This also means that if you were kicked or banned by someone on discord, we cannot resolve it for you via forums. Simply because it is not our discord server.
Some things that fly on the discord does not fly in forums or in the survival server.
The rules on there are Lamp's rules. Lamp is the owner of the discord server.
Analogy time!
Xishumavoid Xisumavoid gets some exclusive content for Minecraft. He is not officially Minecraft. Just because Minecraft developers acknowledge him doesn't make him one of their developers. Xishumavoid is thus the unofficial source of knowledge for minecraft. Minecraft is still its own official source of knowledge.
End analogy.
