Ender Dragon Brawl
For those of you warriors, anxious to take on the big boss, the 9th June is for you! On the 9th June (a Saturday), I will be hosting an Ender Dragon Brawl. As long as you are on the server between 20:00 - 21:00 BST, you have the chance to face off against the dragon! Depending on how long it takes for players to defeat the dragon, there may be up to 3 brawls during the hour-long event. For those of you in different time zones, you can convert the event time to your time zone here. The rules? Turn up and stay alive! I shall see you on the battlefield! ~ Blue *I will not be held responsible for any belongings lost during the brawl event, they are your own responsibility.

You don't have to have him to spawn a dragon. You can spawn a dragon whenever you want. Sometimes I fight em solo or with a friend just for fun. It's also pretty cheap, a few obsidian, a bit of glass, and a few ghast tears.

But also, if you spawn the dragon you are expected to clean up as much of the damage it has done to the EB tunnel as you can. Luckily, it has already been fixed. But it is just a good practice to make this part of the protocol when summoning the dragon, that you add to your checklist there is a potential clean up job afterwards.
This applies to anyone spawning the dragon BTW, so not singling you out per se.

I did notice a rather large hole after another player had spawned the dragon a day or two after, possibly longer. |

I tried to kept it in general terms. But it was really also just for reference should someone search on the forums regarding dragon spawning this issue would come up and it's be cleanly covered.
Also, thanks for checking as well.
