if you die in the nether, do your items disappear after 5 minutes? i lost my items due to being barbequed from a failed ender pearl. i lost my diamond armour, half a stack of quarts and everyth9ing

If you couldn't retrieve it in the 5 minute window, your gear is likely gone and de-spawned.

machop69 the cooldown timer is only active as those chunks are loaded. Thus, if you quickly respawned and no one has been there since, then the timer freezes. Otherwise, after 5min the items do indeed despawn.

i'd suggest you make a fire resistance potion and you find out.. with that potion you can actually swim in lava.
