hey guys
I'm trying to make a sort of guidance book and i wanna fill it with tips and tricks, specifically for Blockhermit.
tips like; keep a stack of coal ore in a chest with a pickaxe. If the EB is out due to other people being in the end and you need xp badly, you can just mine that coal and get some xp (not much ofc but that's why it's just an emergencysolution)
i've helped out a lot of newbies by now cause 4 months ago i was 1 of those noobs that needed a little help getting started and luckily someone was there to help me out.
So i wanna make a book that helps them out a bit, but is also helpful for other players that just didn't think of something..
So if you guys know of more things, please let me know. I appreciate your inputs ^^

a fast way to get xp when the EB is not working is fishing, mining quarts-lapiz (2-5) or emeralds and diamonds (3-7), killing blazes (blazes drop 10 xp, not 5 like other mobs), having fun with a sword at night,breeding and trading

other tips and tricks besides how to get xp are welcome too.. unless you want me to make a "how to ... for dummies" trilogy.. XD

Tip#1 : Get materials ASAP! Since we had ALOT of deaths on the server by monsters in the night and you cant sleep b/c of so much players, make tools and armor before night reaches you.
Tip#2: Know the plugins on the server there is lots of plugins to make surviving and transportation easier even trade easier.They do this so you don't use mods to "cheat" on surviving.
Tip#3: Find A region pole. You can get lost really easily if you don't know where you are going. Region poles are 500 blocks spaced from each other.And there is different regions that people live in some regions they have farms for food like potato and wheat so you don't make one.
Tip#4: Plan before you do it! If you make a base (Your home) and if you don't plan it, will not be like you will expect it to be. You can run out of materials or it will turn out ugly which you don't want.
This only took 5 minutes to make. I just thought on the top of my head  -Themoddedguy

Sorry to correct you but region poles are 400 blocks from each other and starts from x:200 z:200. With that information and little bit of math you can also figure out where is nearest pole.

i will.. and the region pole count out (or how one can call it) was of the first things i wrote.. i use the method of finding the closest multiple of 400 and then adding or retracting 200.. whichever is closest to my coords.. and that's what you do for both X and Z Coords.. ^^
