Can we maybe drop the price of ghast tears, due to the fact that it's almost impossible to find them ?? They despawn after their first fire ball for some reason  Is there a problem with the ai of the mob or is it just me being a idiot XD |

like you yourself stated, it is hard to obtain a ghast tear. That is probably exactly why it is this expensive..
the same way elytra's are expensive cause they are a pain to find..
they tried to find a price that is fair according to what it takes to get it yourself..

also ghasts dont despawn unless inactive for 5 minutes (rarely if its active) you just need to get closer and get a power 4-5 bow to insta kill it
if you are looking for a tear, you should get a fishing rod, pull it near and kill it with fortune 3 since (without fortune) there is a 50% chance of it not droping
