I am asking for a reroll on my death a few minutes ago. I was flying through the nether looking for quartz, when a gigantic lag spike hit the server. The effect of the firework continued and I rocketed right through the roof of the nether, then I steered myself down to get back in. It was uncontrollable so i eventually crashed and died.

What? The nether = the end? Wow. To the point: I died because I glitched THROUGH the ground at the EB. Stil waiting for a senior to reply. Post this in glitch/server errors. Also, I was there when it happened. Giant lag spikes were hitting the server.

We all had the experience dying of lag, that's just what it is. We learn what to and what not to do and move on, that's the risk playing on a server.
