Not sure where to post this...but I was kicked for being idle, which I was not idle, and I logged back in and I died, and my items despawned...not necessarily asking for the items back, just curious as to how I died.

were you afk fishing by chance or anything of the sort?
Do you have a village where you afk'd?
I came back once from being afk and was dead from fishing. I was idle kicked, so i was dead for 15 minutes at least.
I'm almost certain what happened to me was, massive amounts of zombies randomly spawning in the night in a village. Probably same happened to you?

On my base in Hythe, I have a zombie and player (some players try hooking you onto a rod or stand in the way of your rod) proof AFK fishing farm. You can copy it if you want. I tested it out with bryan and he couldn't do anything to me. If you place fences under the slabs, it's everything proof. Skeletons, blazes, creepers (it's 3 blocks high so they can't focus), and spiders.

Just trying to figure it out but how did your items despawn if you weren't idle and you relogged?
AFK fish farms require spamming of the right click button which occasionally triggers as an "attack" and leaves you in a glitchy PvP state when you get kicked. Logging off during PvP makes the console kill you as punishment but that shouldn't be a problem if you weren't idle and were able to get back on right after and retrieve your items.
Don't forget that the game thinks you are afking even if you actively chat for 15 minutes as long as you're not physically moving your character.

I was standing by the iron farm in cali, chatting, but not moving, although, I was opening the chest to get the drops when they were available. I got kicked, logged in to get back on. "You died!" went back for my items, and they were gone. |
