Sorry to hear that happened to that player xAdork. That was bullying and should be zero tolerance. You or whoever should be able to shut do that immediately. Give a warning, if it persisted temp ban the offending players on the spot. It poison and I bet those people pushing to curse are the toxic players I am talking about that need to be kept on a short leash.

I think, to show players the rules, there can be a walk through, where they go in one chamber, learn the mechanic then leave, for example, how a region pole works, there is a pole model, commands that you can use and y there beneficial, and so on. If there are any questions about the tutorial, there can be a button that will give a book with a the elder players that can help them. And at the beginning there should be a sign saying there is no admins on this server, then tell 'em at the end that there are seniors
This world is full of hatred and I get so annoyed of what I hear on the news of the real world, and it breaks my heart hearing what is going on, and it breaks my heart even more hearing that this hatred is caring on to the server
There is a plug in I think that censors all cursing, so, if we can't stop that, we might have to use it
There is too much too lose if the server goes down, all the hours of work we've done on our builds, or other stuff, and for all of that going to the trash, I could throw my computer out the window (the last computer I thrown out the window exploded)
If a senior gets a message saying he died and wants his stuff back or something like that, maybe they can just kick them and the message that would appear would say please report any problem on the forum, if the player complains, well, the is this wonderful command /ignore. This can make the seniors have a little bubble of protection when they are playing
I do not have access to command blocks, but can it be possible that when someone logs in for the first time, a link shows up with the complete list of rules and thing to note about the server?

That is actually called online-bullying, which is a huge cause of suicide. People can actually go to jail for doing that (that is the law in Canada, i don't know if this goes to the USA too) |

OK, I just have one small problem with most of the forum posts on this thread. I get that everyone wants to keep the server alive but that should not be the main drive for respect. I feel like everyone should be respected by everyone because we want to make friendships, not enemies. I too want to keep the server alive but won't respect others solely because of wanting to keep the server alive. I feel like this was just a reality check and the lack of respect recently is insane. Erryone needs to be nice not juts because of the server, but because they truly want to be good people. Just my input.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with wanting to keep the server alive but just don't make that the main reason. We don't want anyone to fake kindness because of a desire. Truly be kind people. Thanks y'all! <3

First off, hi everyone. This is the first time I posted in the forums-- and most people don't even know who I am in general. Despite this, I think we can all agree the server must live on. I believe the actions of some new and old members should not jeopardize the community hermits have crafted for over 3 years.
Seniors are people just like everyone else and shouldn't be targeted by force to help people. They are more than willing to help and listen, since they volunteered for the job, but will stop logging on if they're constantly being bugged to do work each time they log on. Spawn should be remade to help players start their adventures in Block Hermit. We all started from nothing and should respect new players from being confused with so many signs to start. Perhaps we can make a new video or tag a link to a forum post right when a player logs in for the first time. Players need to be aware a website exist that answers all questions from getting a plot in market to how to make a shop sign. Seniors need to stop being harassed. Period.
Minecraft is a game for all kinds of ages, that's the beauty of it: people work side by side to make incredible builds. That being said, respect must be shown to the younger audience and to everybody else. Block Hermit is a place where people log in to take a break from life and have fun. People causing trouble must be held accountable for their actions.

I have seen all he work that Hayan has done for the server, and know that she has worked very hard recently to keep the server in order. I have recently sent a grief notice into the forums, and she replied within a day or two. She helped once immediately when there was toxic talk on the server, but when these things happen when she is not available, and sometimes even the seniors, it can make players angry that they are not available. That should not be the players fist reaction. I think that instead of fighting back, the player could simply mute/ignore the player ingame, and report it on the forums instead of them self getting angry and joining the toxicity of it all. I know that when a server owner looks back in the server logs they can become very enraged to see that people on their own server decide to disrespect others, and completely understand why that should result in an instant ban. I was inactive for a few days and came back to see in the discord that these things had happened. and myself became angry at what has recently occurred. If the server is to fall to the ground, so be it. If the players become the toxic barrels in the bottom of the ocean, what will happen to the server will be what happens to the fishies in the sea. #SaveBH

I guess if she whitelists the server, there can be a term and conditions page to fill out to be able to come in, and there can can be warnings just like we have on discords.
But the thing is, the server is not meant to be whitelisted, it is meant to be open to everyone

I know this isn't the best time to say this...and dork, please, PLEASE, don't take this the wrong way, I promise, I don't have anything against you, just using you as an example.
Why are newer players becoming a senior before older players? Dork was on for a short time before she became a Junior, although, for instance, 4everinfinity98, is not? I don't understand that... Does Seniority apply none?

I was chosen as a senior for the amount of time I spend online... spent actually, as the current player base makes me not want to play as much anymore. I was online probably around 18 hours a day helping players constantly. That's part of the reason why, there are other reasons why but I can't get into them.
Seniority doesn't equal senior, you have to prove that you have the qualities that is looked for in those positions.
Also, these comments are not directed to anyone in specific, it is completely in a general sense.
You're fine for speaking your mind, that's what this thread is for. Trying to figure out where the issues are so we can all collectively work together to try to fix them.

Please don't shut down the server... I just started a week or two ago and don't want to start over on another server that isn't near the quality of this one. I see what the issues are. It seems to be the younger players who have no tact and no social skills. They are used to dealing with their parents and demanding and the louder they yell, the faster it happens. That is, fortunately, not how the real world works. Most of us who are older, myself almost 29, know that demanding and bugging people isn't the way to go. To be honest, spawn didn't help me 2 weeks ago. I had played on maybe 2 servers before and hated both of them. I remember the first 2 days on the server I just wandered around from region to region, not building anything, not really knowing where to go or where I could build without getting in trouble. With a fix of spawn, Which I would gladly help and donate my own resources for, I think that might help some of the younger players get more used to the rules we have around here. I know I have been bugged by a few younger players lately and they are very demanding. That is not to say that the older players don't have attitudes and aren't part of the problem, they are too. But those are just my thoughts and what I've seen playing here a few weeks. I want to donate but only if the server is going to continue. Because if it isn't, I need that money to start my own. I don't know many of you, and haven't met the owner, but yeah... Please keep it going  |

In the August of 2016, I joined the Server. When I first came on, I as overwhelmed with many people that welcomed me. Then I realized that this was the right place to be. I started getting used to everything with all of the regions and players and what not. Then I moved into the Oakhill region._Tibi_ toured me around the region and was full of people and everywhere I looked, I would see someone building something. This was a really good region with many friendly people. Then I started making friends and making the region even more better than it was before. 2 months in, some people had left the server because they got tired of it but that never stopped me. I eventually moved onto making my own region and started to expand. I've came on here EVERYDAY for the past 12 months because I loved the server so much  . And Now YOU are going to shut this well running server down FOREVER?!?!? At least give us a chance of being a friendly community because I know that everyone want's this server to progress and be a better server! Please don't shut it down forever. Whoever want's the server to stay alive, say I! P.S If you think there is some errors give me a break! I've wrote 12 essays during my school year  And this came from my HEART! |
