Some people may consider me crazy for suggesting this, but when I went through some old posts about "how much better things was before", I was thinking that a world reset would maybe bring people more together. People would need to work for their items again and not just use a public farm(because there is a public farm for everything nowadays). I've got nearly everything in the game now so it would be fun if we just backupped the world and tried to get a new start. We could always go back to the previous backup if we wanted to.
I'm looking forward to hear others opinions on this(I bet it's going to be lots off noooooo's)

no, absolutely not, if u want to start from the beginning, destroy all ur items, leave ur base, get rid of ur rhines, and just start over completely, don't use public farms etc

Im with Midnight. Using public grinders are up to you. I myself use very little public farms. And im still having an amazing time. I would do like midnight said. Just give your rhines to someone and start fresh. You would basically be starting over as you would in a new world. There are still a ton of region poles that are unclaimed and unbuilt in. If anything the seniors could move the world boarder back more and create even more places to build. Trust me it actually does work. I played on a server for over 4 years and we never reset. We would just expand the world boarder and abandon our old areas.

But one of my main points was that if everyone started over at the same time maybe people would stick more together? When we're all poor we could work together to achieve the resources we need instead of relying on our giant vaults filled with everything. The claims is usually so big that even if we tried to be neighbors we would be a mile away from each other. We could of course go back to a previous backup at any point. (Going on several accounts to get more votes, cheeky)

As far as "sticking together" goes, we had a fraction of the player base we have now when we reset the world last time. It took less than two or three days for majority of public farms to be set up by players. Most players were building out of their massive vaults within the first week.

"Stick together" really depends on the player. Being active, is one way to keep players actively together. Los, when he was active had dozens of players active together in Apollo. Same with any community build, really. That's not the fault of the server, but the fault of the player. You get things out of the community as much as you put in it.

I just want to make it clear that I'm not saying it's the "servers" fault.

I am not a social person irl, reason i chose to play here is because you can be on your own or play with others, it's up to you and the other players, starting over may bring some players together to play or it might drive others away until the farms and whatnot are built already and then they just come back on and play from there. I think Vee said it best tho.

If the outcome is unkown we could've tried it for a week or something...

But that's a week that players can't work on what they want to work on because a smaller fraction of players wanted to try a new map. And that's a week that new players will be confused. It just doesn't work.
