What has this world reset thing become XD, weve already ecided that were not resetting to much confusion. And when did we start talking about plugins XD

Those new biomes don't make you guys want to explore and rediscover a brand new server? Oddly enough, the one time it actually makes sense to reset people get quiet.

I agree with Midnight, I like the stuff I have now and I don't want to reset. Also, there are so many cool builds that would be lost if we reset.

Well I'm new to both the server, and the forums, so I know I don't have a day in the going ons, but I would think if block hermit is based off of (or at least shares part of it's name with) Hermitcraft, then it would make sense that after a while we would restart, because they have, about 5 times actually. But I do understand the difficulty of getting things just right in your base, and not wanting to change it.
Although I am one that constantly changes bases, I think if your wanna get creative then you would restart and try something new.

We are not affiliated with Hermicraft in any way. We are not based off of them. The idea was inspired by the fact that they live as hermits on a server, but otherwise, we're not similar to them other than being on minecraft.

I personally dont think we should reset with 1.13. We can just expand the world border. let those who want to live in the 1.13 terrain do so. If not they can stay where they are.

There's absolutely no need to expand the borders. We have plenty of available regions, and the resourceworld has plenty of resources to spare.
Also, i see so many yes' and no's.. BUT, i barely saw any post with a decent explanation of opinions..
It's 1 thing to have a poll, but it's hard to look at yall opinions, if nobody seems to have one.
If you're pro-reset, just state in a post WHY it would be a great idea and what would be advantages to reset. If you're against, same goes. There's so many valid points for both sides, but most of the players contributing to this post are either sheepishly shaking heads, or just posting whatever random stuff to -i guess- up their post count for a higher rank?

Also, my opinions on a world reset, I don't want one, since I've done so much progress on my base, and still want to do a whole lot more. When there is a world reset, I'd have to start all over again. I'm not a creative person, so that would be so much work. I like my base how it is, and I have many more things to do.
I also noticed that people who've just come back after a while or people who just joined suddenly want a world reset.

Some people may consider me crazy for suggesting this, but when I went through some old posts about "how much better things was before", I was thinking that a world reset would maybe bring people more together. People would need to work for their items again and not just use a public farm(because there is a public farm for everything nowadays). I've got nearly everything in the game now so it would be fun if we just backupped the world and tried to get a new start. We could always go back to the previous backup if we wanted to. I'm looking forward to hear others opinions on this(I bet it's going to be lots off noooooo's) Absolutely not. I believe I speak for the majority of players when I say I have worked very hard to get where I am now and I would be extremely angry if all my progress was suddenly lost. If the world were to reset, yes, you would be able to start over with a clean slate, but so would everyone else. This decision would affect everyone and it isn't yours alone to make. You can start over if you really want, like midnight said, just throw away your items and donate your rhines to charity. Don't drag the rest of us with you. |

I 100% agree with tiberaus. The fun (and yes, it is fun) of starting over again is not at all worth all of my everything.
